Synopsis

How can finance business partners drive real value in serving as conduits between finance and its stakeholders in our quickly evolving, dynamic climate across a broad range of business metrics?

How can finance business partners drive real value in serving as conduits between finance and its stakeholders in our quickly evolving, dynamic climate across a broad range of business metrics?

It has never been more apparent that the role of the finance function in organisations is changing, not least in the way that it provides its stakeholders with insights based upon a range of data sources. Finance business partners need to progress from the reactive deliverers of reports based on financial information to the proactive group that offers strategic advice to drive decision making based on a broad range of available data sources.

They need to embrace a holistic view of the organisation and the environment in which it operates. More than just providing traditional finance insights, finance professionals today must explore the increasing role they have in supporting financially and non-financially based decision making and broadening the skill sets and capabilities to enable organisations to take business decisions, and monitor their effectiveness, based on the overall organisational purpose.

At this webinar, ACCA and PwC aim to share findings from our joint report, Finance insights-reimagined, and discuss the implications and next steps for the finance function as an expectation grows for the finance function to step up and transform as business partners and offer strategic insights that will impact an organisation’s sustainable growth. This session will address the report in implications in three sections:

Operating Model Future Readiness

Tools and Platforms

People and Talent

In addition to addressing the strategic next steps of your organisation, we’ll also be directing you to practical resources that will equip your team with the necessary and relevant skills required to become strategic business partners.
